Individuals & Families

When you are no longer sure what helping looks like.

Families often arrive after months or years of crisis management: lending money, checking whereabouts, arguing, rescuing, threatening consequences and then reversing them. The result can be exhaustion without meaningful change.

We start with the reality of the situation

The first task is to separate what can be controlled from what cannot. That may include immediate risk, access to money, accommodation, treatment readiness, safeguarding, family boundaries and the consequences of continued substance use.

Support does not require agreement from everyone

A family can change its response even when the person using substances is not yet ready to change. Consultation can therefore begin with parents, partners or other close family members.

When treatment is being considered

We can help clarify the questions to ask, the level of care that may be appropriate and what needs to happen before, during and after treatment. Admission itself is only one part of a longer recovery plan.
